FAQs

  • Yes, we are in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO and Blue Choice PPO plans. If you plan to use your mental health benefits, the practice will submit those claims to your insurance company for you. All other insurance plans are out-of-network. What does that mean? We will not bill your insurance directly, but we recommend that you contact your insurance to inquire about out-of-network benefits, particularly for behavioral health. You will pay for your sessions, and we will provide you with a Superbill – an itemized list of the service received. This document can be submitted to your insurance for direct reimbursement.

  • Initial intake sessions: $195/session

    Individual therapy sessions: $180/session

Group therapy sessions: $50 per group session

    Administrative/Clinical/Report Writing: $100/hour

  • The frequency of our therapy sessions will be determined collaboratively based on your needs and treatment goals. The initial intake session is the first appointment. This is where we will discuss why you’re seeking therapy, see if we’re a good fit for each other, talk about your recent/ongoing symptoms and stressors, and establish goals for treatment. In the initial stages of therapy, meeting weekly is typical, and that’s because establishing a connection and building trust within the therapeutic relationship is key at the onset of therapy. We can adjust the session frequency as we review goals and assess progress made throughout treatment.

  • Authentically You Psychotherapy provides in person and Telehealth for Illinois residents. Clients can be seen virtually through a secure, HIPAA compliant video platform, which means you can access therapy from the comfort of your home, or in person at the Oak Park, Illinois location.

  • We ask that if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please notify the practice at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled appointment. If you miss your appointment or a 24-hour notice is not given, you will be responsible for the full payment of your missed session. The fee for missed appointments or late cancellations is $125. Please note that insurance will not cover the payment for late cancellations/missed appointments.
